Leicester Hockey Club moved to the new site of Leicester Grammar School at the start of the 2008-09 season. We now all train and play all our home games there. The club is very proud to take up a hockey tenancy at the school.

The club has had a long and successful relationship with the school and a lot of our junior members attend Leicester Grammar School. Previously when the school was based in the centre of Leicester, there were several notable selections for England and GB for Junior players and Senior players such as Jo Mould who teaches at the school and was selected for and played in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

There have also been many current students of LGS who have joined the hockey club and worked their way through the ranks of the club, gaining International representative honours along the way such as Jessica Hickman, now an England U18 International player and definitely one to watch for the future.

Moving with the school has meant that the club now has access to one waterbased and one sandbased pitch with full floodlighting facilities outside and a full indoor facility to train and play in. Refreshments and full changing facilities with showers can be found in the substantial pavilion adjacent to the pitches which can seat over 100 people post match.

The full postal address for Leicester Grammar School (LGS) is, London Road, Great Glen, Leicester, LE8 9FL.
