PUKKAS GET 2ND HALF OF SEASON OFF TO A FLYING START
Leicester Ladies resumed their league campaign after the winter break with an emphatic 5-1 win against Birmingham University to remain in 2nd place in the Investec Premier League behind leaders Reading.
After a lacklustre and rusty first half which saw the Pukkas turn round a goal behind, a fierce interval talk from coach Chris Mayor saw Leicester produce five second half goals from Kerry Williams(2), Lizzie Honarmand, Crista Cullen and Anne Panter to turn the match into a rout.
Leicester travel to Reading in two weeks time for the biggest match of the season. Before that, this coming Sunday at 12.30pm the Pukkas are at home to Slough in a rearranged match following the recent cold weather. Come and support the team - the last match of the league campaign when all our Great Britain players will be available.
