Hockey in Leicester

Welcome to Leicester City Hockey Club. Established in 1894 we were one of the oldest and most successful ladies hockey clubs in England.

In 2018-19 season we opened our doors to men and now have a thriving club that offers hockey to boys and girls, men and women from the ages of 7 upwards. Walking hockey was launched in season 2019-20 and is continually growing too.

We have 7 senior teams (5 womens, 2 mens) and many junior teams offering competitive hockey from local leagues and cups up to National League levels. We welcome players, umpires, coaches and supporters of all ages and abilities and always try to accommodate everyone who would like to pick up a stick, whistle or clipboard.

We renewed our Clubmark in 2021 which is accredited by England Hockey and we are proud to offer a safe and supportive environment for all our players to develop and thrive as hockey players and individuals.

Our new Olympic standard pitch was opened in June 2023 and we are looking forward to welcoming all our members and new members to come and play at our exciting venue.
