Charity Hockey Day coming to Leicester Grammar School

We're inviting everyone, both players and non-players, to join us on Monday 29th May to see the Hockey for Heroes squad play eight fixtures at Leicester Grammar School as part of their #OpLastPost tour to help raise money for Help for Heroes.

The tour is seeing the team complete 457km of Endurance Tasks – 1km to represent each British person killed in conflict in Afghanistan- in addition to playing 54 games of Hockey between the Men’s and Ladies squads.

The games will take place from 11.30am to 5.30pm, with the games against Leicester City Hockey Club teams starting at 3.30pm.

As well as the hockey, there will be lots of other activities taking place throughout the day – ranging from military and hockey challenges to a raffle.

GB and England legend Barry Middleton will also be making a special guest appearance showcasing his playing skills for Hockey for Heroes.

Please remember to bring training kit and hockey kit, as well as a change of shoes, to make sure you can take part in all the challenges.

The suggested donation for the day is £10, but this is voluntary.
