Joe Paul will be stepping down at the end of the season

March 17, 2022

Coach of the Ladies 1s Joe Paul has confirmed he will be stepping down as coach at the end of this season. Joe has been L1s coach for 4 seasons now and with his commitments as a National League Premier player himself at Beeston feels its time to get some balance back with his busy hockey and work commitments.

"Joe has been with us for over 8 years now as second team coach, assistant to David Mayer and has been a fantastic steadying influence for the team as L1s Coach. We narrowly missed out on promotion and play offs on several occasions, during his time in charge. His technical and tactical knowledge have been superb and he's been a great coach for the club. Now he has confirmed his plans for next season, the club will look to recruit and appoint a successor for next season as soon as possible, however we still have a very important half of this season to finish off and want to do this in the best possible way for the players, for Joe, the coaching team and the club. " **Sarah Treanor - Vice President**.

We would like to thank Joe for all his hard work, efforts and work in coaching the side and look forward to welcoming him back as a member in future seasons.
