Rainbow Sweatshirts Launched for Pride Month

March 17, 2022

**Leicester City Hockey Club are selling new sweatshirts in support of Pride month.**

The sweatshirts, [sold via the club shop](https://www.hockeyfactoryshop.co.uk/club-shop/leicester-hockey-club), are emblazoned in the club logo redesigned to feature the rainbow colours in support of key workers and their work during the pandemic.

Kayleigh Glover, who came up with the original idea for the garment, said: “I pitched the idea to the girls in my squad and they loved it”.

“The logo represents the NHS hospitals and the Pride we have within the club”.

“It was important to me that the club raised some money for the fantastic local NHS charities we have and to honour our own players who have been front line throughout the entire pandemic”.

“At Leicester, we are so proud of our players and we are a family, we support one another and I think wearing these jumpers not only will look stylish but will show our support for our players”.

The sweatshirts cost £20 and £3 from each sale will go to NHS charities. They are available in black or grey with the rainbow logo front and centre.

Sarah Treanor, vice-president, said: “The rainbow colours are close to our hearts as an inclusive club and the commitment so many of our key workers have put in throughout the pandemic.

“It’s great to see the idea come to fruition and I encourage you all to buy one!”
